Church leaders and Save the Parish join forces as report warns the vicar is becoming an ‘endangered species’

Parish Ministry: Addressing the Crisis in Stipendiary Clergy Numbers in the Church of England details a collaborative initiative between Save the Parish and senior Church of England leaders to halt the collapse of frontline ministry.

Bringing together bishops, theologians, parish clergy, and Church House officials, the consultation established a rare consensus on the urgent need to reform clergy training, rebuild trust, and ensure financial support for training new priests.
