Easter at St Sampson’s, South Hill, Cornwall
Our deep rural parish, a small parish of 500 souls, is very much thriving. We had a wonderful Easter egg hunt and Easter trail with 2 real donkeys, which attracted 24 children and their adults. Donkeys, crafts, biscuits, Easter eggs all telling the Easter story.
And next week we celebrate the halfway mark of our restoration project, having raised £300k. All this and more from a small rural parish.
Rural parishes are vital and important. We need more support and resources. Most of all a vicar who cares for us.
